September 2019-
In the city of Munising, MI is a beautiful place called The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This place is known for its multicolored cliffs. However, there are quite a few breathtaking views all around this lakeshore. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Unfortunately, when we were there, it was a bit gloomy and rainy. But we still made the best of it! PRO TIP: Always pack a rain jacket if you are planning to camp and hike for a few days. This tip is for both hoomans and doggos ;).
NOTE: Not all of Pictured Rocks Lakeshore is dog-friendly. Keep scrolling to find all the places that are. PICTURED TO THE RIGHT: Log Slide Trail
FIRST HIKE OF THE TRIP
We stayed in the Hurricane River Campground for two nights. The first little hike was right next to the campground so we took full advantage of that. This was a 3-mile round trip to the Au Sable Light Station.
REST TIME
I’ll admit, I don’t get in my backpack often. But sometimes you just need a little rest. Am I right doggos?
SUNSET VIEWS
Taking the 1.5 mile walk back to camp just in time to see the sun set on Lake Superior!
LAKE SUPERIOR VIEWS
Would you be surprised if I said this isn’t a filtered picture? Ok ok… maybe a slight filter but nothing photoshopped here. After our hike, we walked down to the beach to watch the sunset and explore the beach.
