Places of play I recommend in Charlotte:

  • Skiptown

  • Aquapups

March, 2022

One of the reasons Mom and I took a road trip to Charlotte was because we heard how dog friendly this city is. We are here to confirm that this statement is highly accurate. While we only had just a few days in Charlotte, we were able to visit a really fun dog bar along with a one of a kind dog swimming center! Keep scrolling to see how much fun I had.

Skiptown

Location- South End, Charlotte

Other locations- Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas

  • PEOPLE WATCHING

This was a rare moment mom captured where I was all by myself. But don’t let this picture fool you, this place’s FULL of dogs

  • PLAYSCAPES

This place is full of fun playscapes to climb on.

  • DOG BEER?!

This bar doesn’t just serve human drinks. You doggies can order a drink too. This beer is made of beef broth, vegetables and herbs. Can you say yummm

  • OUTDOOR FUN

Not only is there a large indoor play area, this place expands to an outdoor patio. There is so much room for play!

Aquapups

  • SAFETY FIRST

For your first time at the facility, you’ll be required to wear a life jacket. Every first timer gets a 30 minute orientation to make sure you’re comfortable in the water.

  • JUST A DIP

I love to swim but this was the first time I went swimming in a pool. It was definitely an adjustment for the first 5 minutes!

  • FETCH

It didn’t take long for me to get comfortable in the water. I didn’t want to leave!
